6 Night Women’s Guided Trip

4 nights/5 days in the wilderness and 2 nights in a bunkhouse
August 17-23

Once a year we offer a women’s guided canoe trip, with a limit of 8 guests.  Our guide will lead you on a beautiful and scenic route through a section of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, paddling, portaging and camping along the way.  Everyone chips in and helps during the trip, although the trip guide will take a lead in doing the cooking and, of course, all the navigating.  To participate in this trip you should have some canoe experience, be able to paddle 3-5 miles a day, and have done some wilderness camping.  Overall the trip is moderate but some experience is appropriate.

Includes: Overnight accommodations in a bunk house before and after your canoe trip, plus 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at Justine’s Fine Dining in the lodge, 4 nights/5 days of complete outfitting, a wilderness guide, all maps, transportation to and from the appropriate canoe landings, showers and a complete route briefing.

$695.00 per person,

7 Night Adult Guided Canoe Trip

5 nights/6 days in the wilderness and 2 nights in a bunkhouse
August 30-September 6

This August trip is one of our favorites—the weather is usually nice and warm, the fish should be biting, the water levels are decent, and the wilderness does not have as many campers this week.  Our group will gather, spend their first night at Gunflint in a bunkhouse, meet each other and go over route planning.  Then the next morning they will head out on a nice loop trip going into the interior of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, looking for moose, catching some fish for dinner and enjoying the campfire time come evening.  The group will move at a steady pace, but this is not a marathon so do not worry about this trip being more than you can handle.  We hope all participants have some previous wilderness camping experience and have some paddling skills.

Includes: Overnight accommodations in a bunk house before and after your canoe trip, plus 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners (your first dinner in the Bistro and your last dinner in Justine’s Fine Dining), 5 nights/6 days of complete outfitting, a wilderness guide, all maps, transportation to and from the appropriate canoe landings, showers, and a complete route briefing. Party size is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
