Food & Canoe Trips

Available all summer

Picture of a camping vacation campsite.

You bring the tent and bags and we provide the canoes and tasty meals to complete your camping vacation needs.

This camping vacation package is for guests who have their own tents, bags, and personal gear. We include canoes and tasty meals to cover the rest of your needs. Everything will be packed and ready for you when you arrive, so we can be timely in orienting you to your canoe route and getting you on your way. When you are making your initial reservation with us we will personally visit with you in helping select a specific canoe route that fits your interests, ambitions and skill level.

You can select from two types of canoes — Royalex or Kevlar. The Royalex are quieter than aluminum canoes and about the same weight, while Kevlar are the lightest but they require more care from you.

Includes: canoes and all meals from our extensive menu, cook kit, eating utensils, clean up items, special food packs, PFD vests, hot showers, free car parking, and a complete route briefing. Complimentary bunk house accommodations are available the night before and after your trip if desired, and the dining rooms at the main lodge offer full meal and beverage service. Transportation to and from your entry point is additional.

$49.00 per person per calendar day, with a Royalex canoe plus your BWCAW permit, user fees and sales tax.
$59.00 per person per calendar day, with a Kevlar canoe plus your BWCAW permit, user fees and sales tax.

Camping vacation tips...

Dome tent set up for a BWCA camping vacation

A camping vacation in the BWCA is a memorable wilderness experience.

  • Having extra tent poles along on your trip is a really good idea in case one breaks. And make sure your tent is adequately staked down to prevent damage in high winds.

  • A tarp placed under your tent helps cut down on wear and tear. An old shower curtain works well and can be cut to be slightly smaller than the tent’s footprint.

  • Make sure you’ve practiced setting your tent up at home so you know how it’s done and that no pieces are missing.
